Rethinking Heritage

Discover the core principles guiding our work as we challenge conventional heritage narratives and explore new perspectives.

Challenging dominant heritage narratives

Our journey began as a praxis work for a course in Museum & Critical Heritage Studies. It has since evolved into a dedicated effort to rethink and research heritage beyond the dominant, Europhon modes of thought that often influence our understanding of history and culture.

Why this work matters

This work is crucial for fostering a more inclusive and accurate understanding of global heritage. By de-centering Eurocentric views, we aim to uncover and celebrate the rich, diverse narratives that have often been marginalized or overlooked. This approach ensures that heritage preservation and interpretation truly reflect the multifaceted human experience.
